We build a robust, intentional curriculum for our campers that consists of identity immersion workshops, cultural and history workshops, a speaker series, and morning mindfulness and meditation circles. This past year, we hosted a speaker series for our kids called “Unconventional Desis,” where our campers heard firsthand stories from South Asian politicians, actors, artists, authors, and entrepreneurs about their dreams to redefine success for themselves. Campers also engaged in a series of cultural immersion workshops, including Bharatnatyam, Bollywood dance, Madhubani painting, and Indo-Guyanese kite-making, as well as poetry-based identity immersion workshops that focused on the theme of belonging.
